Rikkyo-UNPAD (Indonesia) International Seminar 2025

OBJECTIVE.

Rikkyo University's MPMA recently hosted the 13th Joint International Seminar with Padjadjaran University's Management Faculty (MM-UNPAD) from January 28 to February 1. The seminar welcomed 105 students from MM-UNPAD, the largest number ever, fostering a vibrant knowledge exchange.

The program, led by MPMA professors, covered key Japanese topics, such as Japan's economic presence in the 'Lost Decades", the Japanese government and politics, local government functions, Local politics focusing on municipal mergers, and contemporary human resource management practices. The seminar also offered an exciting field visit to explore the Tokyo Aqua-line, providing valuable insights into how inter-regional transport infrastructure affects regional economies in multiple ways, including manufacturing, retail, and tourism. For the UNPAD students, the learning in the classroom likely connected to their experiences outside of it, and they probably took away many insights that can only be gained here.

The seminar concluded with a celebratory closing reception at the Halal Food Restaurant, commemorating the successful academic endeavor and strengthening the bond among the participants.
This event marks a promising beginning for future joint initiatives that will enhance the academic experiences of students and faculty from Rikkyo University and Padjadjaran University, Indonesia.
