Field Trip in 2025 Fall
OBJECTIVE.
On November 6, 2025, thirty-five vibrant MPMA students from Cambodia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, the Philippines, the Kyrgyz Republic, Nepal, Laos, Mongolia, Sri Lanka and Indonesia embarked on a one-day journey through Chiba and Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
This field trip traveled along the Tokyo Metropolitan Highway network
—including the Aqua-Line Highway, the Yokohama Bay Bridge, and the Tokyo-Gaikan Expressway — to observe dynamic manufacturing and service-sector activities, and reached to the Isuzu Plaza as the final destination, which is operated by Isuzu Motors Ltd., one of Japan’s leading automobile manufacturers.
It provided valuable insights to participants into how inter-regional transport infrastructure affects regional economies in multiple ways, including manufacturing, retail, and tourism.
Additionally, the experience outside of the classroom must be an icebreaker especially among 1st year students who enrolled in our program in this September.
We hope that this trip was not only a valuable learning opportunity for the students but also became a memorable and enjoyable part of their time in Japan.
