Rikkyo-UNPAD (Indonesia) International Seminar 2026
OBJECTIVE.
Rikkyo University’s MPMA recently hosted the 14th Joint International Seminar with Padjadjaran University’s Master of Management Course (MM-UNPAD) from January 26 to 30, 2026. Welcoming 70 participants, this event continued a partnership established in 2015 to foster academic exchange between Japan and Indonesia.
Led by MPMA professors, the program covered Japan's economic performance since the 1990s, government and political functions, public management issues, and contemporary human resource management practices.
To bridge classroom theory with practice, students participated in field visits to the Japan Airlines Maintenance Center, the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line—a core part of the cross-Tokyo Bay highway network—and Isuzu Plaza, gaining insights into how transport infrastructure and manufacturing affect regional economies.
The seminar concluded with a celebratory reception at a halal restaurant, strengthening the bonds between both universities and marking a promising start for future joint initiatives.
